Jock Abey

Jock completed his Bachelor of Laws at the University of Tasmania in 1969 and was admitted to practice in Tasmania and Victoria in 1970

He worked in Melbourne as a solicitor from 1970 to 1982 and for the last 8 years of that period was a partner in the Melbourne firm formerly known as Abbott Stillman & Wilson. Jock moved to Launceston and joined the partnership of Douglas & Collins in 1983. He retired from the partnership in 2001 and since that time has been employed as a consultant. His areas of practice include:

  • wills and estate planning
  • deceased estates
  • real estate sales and purchases
  • business sale and purchases
  • commercial leases
  • mortgages
