Geoff Arnott

Geoff obtained his law degree from the University of Tasmania in 1981 and was admitted as a Practitioner in February, 1983. He worked in Hobart for two years before joining Douglas & Collins in their commercial/property law area in 1985. Geoff became a partner of the firm in January, 1987.

Geoff's major areas of practice are:

• business sales and acquisitions
• forestry and agricultural matters
• real estate sales and purchases
• wills and estate planning

Geoff is a past Chairman of the Taxation Institute of Australia (Tasmanian Division) and is still a member of State Council. Geoff also assists the Real Estate Institute of Tasmania by lecturing in their contract law and property law modules, which are prerequisites to obtaining qualifications in the real estate industry.
