Sarah Pearce graduated from the University of Tasmania with a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Laws with Honours in Law in 2013. She completed her practical legal training and was admitted to the Supreme Court of Tasmania in 2014. She is also admitted to the High Court of Australia.
In August 2014, Sarah started working at Douglas & Collins and now practices in litigation and commercial law. She was the president of the Northern Young Lawyers Committee and the Tasmanian member for the Australian Young Lawyers Forum in 2017. She has been a member of the Northern Tasmanian Football Association disciplinary tribunal since the beginning of 2017.
Sarah maintains a general practice but works primarily in general civil litigation, estate planning and commercial law. She appears regularly in the Magistrates Court of Tasmania in the criminal jurisdiction for defendants and prosecutes on behalf of local councils, as well as the civil jurisdiction. Sarah also appears in the Supreme Court of Tasmania for civil litigation matters and has recently completed her first criminal law trial.
